The Road To NetZero
Maynes operate a continual fleet regeneration programme and purchase the most environmentally friendly vehicles, therefore helping to reduce their emissions and carbon footprint.
Maynes worked continuously on retaining our ECO Stars Fleet Recognition Scheme rating, especially during the last few challenging years to not also maintain Ecostars but also become one of the first U.K. coach operators to reach Green Tourism Accreditation too.
We are now working coherently with the Scottish Government to reach NetZero, our commitment and plans afoot are to set the future standards in coach hire. In the years ahead our plans are ready to redesign the concept in coaching, and become more agile in our ambitions towards NetZero.
All our vehicles are compliant with the strictest tier of emissions categorisation, The coaches also have a comprehensive vehicle tracking and telematics system that allows them to monitor any unnecessary idling, therefore further helping to reduce their carbon footprint and give a full carbon impact report for every single journey.
We also utilise this information during in-house training sessions to optimise driver’s performance and ensure that they are upholding their responsibility of lowering their emissions and our carbon footprint, and undertake driver training to improve and reduce wasted fuel consumption, excessive emissions and improve safety on our roads.
